Twenty-one years of quiet, considered interiors

A small senior studio working across three cities — the people who pitch your project are the people who draw it.

Who We Are

We create stunning
home designs

Verda began in 2004 in a two-room studio in Brooklyn with a single renovation and a stubborn belief that good design should outlast trends. Two decades on we work across three cities, but the way we start hasn't changed: understand the life first, then draw the plan.

Project Assessment and Space Analysis

The design team conducts a thorough assessment of the space, taking measurements, photographs, and gathering any relevant architectural drawings or floor plans.

3.

Design Concept Development

Based on the client's preferences and the information gathered during the assessment, Verda develops a design concept with layouts, palettes and material samples.

4.

Design Presentation and Approval

Verda presents the design concept and space plans to the client, utilising visual aids such as 3D renderings, sketches, and material samples.

Of Studio Practice

What we hold ourselves to

01

Live in it first

Every plan starts with how you actually move through a day — where the light lands, where the mess collects, who sits where.

02

Material honesty

Timber that reads as timber, stone that ages well. We specify things that look better in year five than year one.

03

Drawn, not improvised

Every custom element gets a detail drawing. Trades build from paper, not from a conversation on site.

04

Budget in the open

Costs are shared as they are known, not at the end. Nobody enjoys a surprise in month four.

05

One team throughout

The designer who wins your project runs it. No handover to a junior once the contract is signed.

06

Finish the last 5%

Styling, snagging and the fiddly details that decide whether a room feels done or nearly done.
